	This is my birthday present to myself. Besides its ultimate cuteness, and the fact that it weighs only 2 pounds, this little computer has some pretty neat features to carry along while I'm out and about.

For example, it has a really strong wireless card: While riding home from the movies with my husband Friday night, my Eee PC was able to detect wi-fi hotspots all over south College Station (of course, he was driving too fast for me to actually hook up to one of them, but I can go another time!). It boots in about 10 seconds, and it shuts down in about that same time. So it really is a quick way to send an email or to check movie times on the fly. I can upload pics to share with my family without having to wait until I get back home. I'm also able to use GoToMyPC to access my work files when I'm not actually at work. Don't be intimidated by the Linux operating system -- I hardly even know it's there. The OpenOffice software is a breeze to master -- it's almost a clone of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint! My son and I have enjoyed playing with the included Paint drawing program and the Potato Head game. I haven't tried the Sudoku or other games yet.
